The Youth Center Announces Historic Reduction in After School Academy Tuition Rates
by Alisha Donahue, Program Coordinator
Los Alamitos, CA – August 15, 2024 – The Youth Center is excited to announce a significant reduction in tuition rates for its After School Academy and Rossmoor Rascals programs, thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the success of our recent fundraising events, including the Golf Tournament and One Grand Project. In a historic move, we are reducing tuition by up to 50%, making our programs more accessible to local families.
Effective immediately, full-time tuition for our newly built Youth Center’s After School Academy has been reduced to just $20 per week, while tuition for the Rossmoor Rascals is now $45 per week. This substantial decrease ensures that children can stay engaged in enriching activities rather than spending unsupervised time after school. The programs include pickup services from Lee Elementary and Rossmoor Elementary, further easing the burden on parents.
Our Programs Include:
- Games, Crafts, and Sports: Activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and physical health.
- Library and Music Corner: Spaces for reading, musical exploration, and creative expression.
- Science and Tutoring/Homework Help: Support for academic growth and curiosity.
- Life and Leadership Skill-Building Workshops: Sessions that promote personal development and leadership qualities.
- Open Mic Days and Culinary Kitchen Lab: Opportunities for students to showcase their talents and learn about healthy eating from esteemed chefs.
