Volunteer With Us
You must submit an application for volunteering with The Youth Center before coming to volunteer. Volunteers are an integral part of our organization. They bring time, talent, passion and a fresh set of eyes. We couldn’t operate without them!
The Youth Center is dependent on a strong spirit of volunteerism. From working in the office and helping at the events to tutoring and Camp SHARK volunteers, we have opportunities for everyone. Help out every day or once a year. Volunteer solo, with your family or company

March 28th–Easter Extravaganza – activities starting at 4pm
May 11th –Health & Wellness Festival – 11am – 4pm
June 8th–Rossmoor Family Festival – 3pm – 8pm

- Every 3rd Friday of the month 6-10:30pm: Kids Night Out
Christmas Tree Lot :
- November 30 – Dec 18 – Monday – Friday 12-9 pm and Saturday-Sunday 9 am – 9 pm. Sign up for specific shifts.
- Help with Set Up on Tuesday, November 26 from 10 – 3 pm
Helping During the School Year:
- During the school year, we take volunteers on a sign up basis between 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tasks may include participating in games, helping with activities, park supervision, homework help, front desk check in, shack shack operations, and more.
- Tutoring help: individual and group tutoring takes place Monday through Friday at our Oak location. Often, students need help with math or language arts.
Camp S.H.A.R.K. Volunteering:
- June 10 through August 9 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. – If you are interested in volunteering to help during Camp S.H.A.R.K. during the summer, please fill out the volunteer form above.
- If you are interested in making a supply donation to Camp S.H.A.R.K. please reach out to Janae to see what we are in need of.
Office and General Volunteers:
- Program Photographer all locations
- Canva Designer: able to use this program to make fliers, posters and announcements
- Handyman or Person who can do odd little jobs around the center.
