Our Mission

Leading with integrity, resilience, and purpose

The Leadership Council is dedicated to providing leadership development for students in the community by supporting and creating targeted, innovative programs that connect youth, promote mental health, and encourage community service. WHAT WE DO

Programs we run

The Leadership Council designs and runs initiatives that connect, support, and inspire youth in our community.

A collaboration between the Leadership Council and Weaver Elementary’s Ambassadors leadership program. This youth-led initiative offers workshops that teach communication, emotional intelligence, the importance of volunteering, and exposure to different leadership styles and conflict-resolution techniques.

The council also connects the Ambassadors with local nonprofit organizations, providing volunteer events and opportunities for meaningful community impact.

Self-awareness, focus, and confidence workshops led by Council members, running through the school year and as a featured Camp SHARK programming track. Build emotional vocabulary and tools for handling stress, social pressure, and everyday challenges.

Workshops focused on academic achievement, study skills, time management, and the personal habits that drive growth in school and beyond. Designed by Council members for peers preparing for high school and college transitions.

A curated set of resources for youth and families navigating mental health support, including local services, hotlines, peer support, and educational materials. Maintained and reviewed by the Council in partnership with Youth Center staff.
